HIDDEN - Post Jam Update
Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent Godot Wild Jam "Reflections". This one was a lot of fun both from developing games and seeing all that was made by others. There were plenty of fantastic entries that we were able to play and many that we didn't get around to but I hope all had fun and learned from the experience we sure know we have.
Based on the feedback we received it was informed to us that there were issues with the player controls making them far too slippery and floaty which was not our intention when making HIDDEN. We have since gone back and updated the following based on player feedback:
- Reworked the players jump, now coming to a stop midair allowing for easier adjustments.
- Reworked player deceleration now coming to a stop slightly more smoothly and faster when grounded.
- Reworked wall jumps making them easier to pull off. Now you no longer need to hold against the wall and are given a grace period to jump when letting go.
- Refitted collision shapes to be more accurate for the player when interacting with spikes.
- Reworked our sonar feature to now show all connecting objects to what was hit allowing more visibility to see what's up ahead.
- Updated credits scene to include a link to the font used.
- Fixed a bug that allowed the player to unpause during the end of level sequence.
We once again thank the GWJ community for the fantastic comments and feedback. We don't currently have plans to develop this game further outside of bug fixes, but if there is enough demand for more content we may look at expanding HIDDEN further with more levels and content. In the meantime please check out the itch pages of the team to see what else we've worked on and drop us a follow to see what we create next!
Thank you all for reading, until next time!

Cool!
Though here is a few things I think will make it better:
1. Faster reload.
2. Bullets faster.
3. Spikes with smaller hit boxes (If you know celeste, it has smaller hit boxes).
